The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea is inviting talented Bangladeshi students to participate in '2025 Global Korea Scholarship(GKS) for Graduate(Master/Doctor) Degrees.'

1. Number of Quota under Embassy Track : 6

   ※ For details about 'University Track' and 'R-GKS', please check the attached documents and prepare to apply.

   ※ Number of Quota under University Track : 19 (General : 3, R-GKS : 16)

   ※ Those who failed to the 1st Round(Documents screening) by Embassy can apply to University Track again.

2. Scholarship Period

  O Master’s Degree: 3 years (1 year of Korean Language program+2years of Degree Program)

  O Doctoral Degree: 4 years (1 year of Korean Language program+3years of Degree Program)

3. Selection Schedule

  O Application Period : 7 February (Fri) - 3 March (Mon), 2025

     ※  No Online Application System in this time.

  O Place to Submit the Application : Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bangadesh

     ※ Contact the Security officers to submit including holidays and weekends.

  O (Expected) Announcement of the shortlisted applicants for interview : 6 March, 2025 (Thu)

      ※ Announcement will be delayed with advance notice.

      ※ We will annouce the interviewees through the Korean Embassy Website. Also we will send the Email and SMS to the interviewees only.  If you don't get the any response from Korean Embassy, then it means that you are not selected in this time.

  O (Expected) Interview date : 10-13 March, 2025

    ※ The Embassy will contact the shortlisted applicants individually for the Final interview schedule and information.

  O The 1st Selection result announcements : Individual notification until 16 March (Sun)

  O The announcement of successful applicants for the Second round by NIIED: End of April 2025

  O The period of the third round by each Universities : End of May 2025

  O The announcement of Final successful candidates: End of June 2025 by the notice of NIIED

     ※ Details will be notified to successful applicants only.

 O Visa Application to Korean Embassy : Early August

4.  Documents Submisiion :  1 Original set + 1 Copy set (Only 2 set)  

    ※ The copies should be well copied.

    ※ For documents preparation, check the information below.

5. Checking point before applying (Please read this information carefully!)

      A)  All applicants are required to submit the Original copy of your [Birthday Certificate / Family Relation Certificate / Educatioanl Certificates etc.]

            Process for Original copy of your Certificates

              Frist) Copy your certificates well in color

              Second) Attest your well copied one from

                 - Public notary-> Educational Ministry of Bangladesh->Foreign ministry of Bangladesh :  Educatioanl Certificates

                 - Public notary->Law Ministry of Bangladesh->Foreign ministry of Bangladesh : Birthday & Family Relation Certificate

              Third) Apply us with the other GKS application documents.

      B) No need to Consular confirmation(Attestation) by Korean Embassy in the Document Review(1st) round.

          ※ If you have already completed the attestation from Korean Embassy, then you can submit them surely.  

      C) Only for the Successful candidate of 1st round must submit 'Consular confirmed(Attested) by Embassy' document for further round. The Embassy of Republic of Korea will give a guidance for them later.

      D) Those who has the Certificate(Transcript or Degrees) out of Bangladesh also should be attested or confirmed properly(e.g. Apostille certificate)

      E) Those who not be selected by Embassy track and want to return the submitted original document for applying the [University Track], then we can return the Original document. We will announce the schedule later, and we will return the documents only 1 seelcted date(you should visit only this date).

      F) [TIP] Usually the applicants have submitted their documents near the last submissionn date. If you send the documents more eariler, it will be evaluated as [You are prepared well]. Please apply us as you are ready. Don't wait for the last submisiion date!
